Those who have done it know life on the road is a hazardous trek, full of hours of boredom capped with an ecstasy only to be found on a stage.

Watain has got to be one of the hottest acts currently in Black Metal. They are seemingly talked about constantly in all the circles I inhabit.

In my mind, anyone who releases a live album of Bathory covers (Tonight We Raise Our Cups and Toast in Angels Blood: A Tribute to Bathory – 2015) is noteworthy.

I was disappointed Watain dropped out of the Mayhem tour here in the U.S. We really wanted to hear live offerings from: The Agony & Ecstasy of Watain due to be released on April 29th via Nuclear Blast. Fortunately, a new music video has been released to satisfy our hunger until the band can perform in the flesh.

“We Remain” is a theatrical offering depicting life on tour. Those who have done it know life on the road is a hazardous trek, full of hours of boredom capped with an ecstasy only to be found on a stage.

The shot selections, camera angles and overall subject matter are simply awesome. I especially liked the underwater clips at the beginning of the video.

Watain has proven once again why they are near the top of the black metal heap. Check out this new video and let these images of the road hypnotize you! \m/

Watain is:
