It’s like being inside a twisted asylum where the longer you stay the further you delve into the madness.
Synlakross is a group worthy of your attention. I discovered the band a couple of months ago when I saw their video cover of In Flame’s “Colony”. A favorite album of mine, I watched the video multiple times and eventually did some research on the artists responsible.
Synlakross is a melodic death metal act from Spain and has been active since 2008. The group has released two studio efforts. Their new release, Malice Murder, will be made available worldwide on October 18th.
The new music video “Dark Seed” is a performance offering with lots of nasty clips thrown in. It reminds me of The Strangers meets Silent Hill. These shocking images along with the subtitled words provide perfect accompaniment to the Synlakross musical attack. It’s like being inside a twisted asylum where the longer you stay the further you delve into the madness. The most memorable parts of the video involve the ballerina, her facial expressions and movements are truly bizarre. The most disturbing part of the video is near the end when the man’s body is mapped out like a steer for the slaughterhouse. We see some meat grinding and then it’s implied that the dude was made into a hamburger. Shocking to say the least!
Synlakross has caught my attention and I hope they catch yours. Boasting a unique vibe with the visuals to match, this band will surely find itself at the forefront. Check out “Dark Seed” and watch Synlakross take root in your metal scene! \m/
