It’s about living in the moment. True to the apocalypse that is 2020, we can die at any time, so make the most of it. The world will still turn, life will go on whether we do or not, so go out with a bang and a growl instead of a whimper.

“Life Is But A Moment” is the first release by Steven Pollixx’ band Pollixx, also known as Steven Volor of Caster Volor fame.  In true to ’80s form, the song immediately evokes the tone of old-school goth rock with a hard edge to it, particularly being very guitar driven (no surprise – he IS Caster Volor’s lead guitarist, after all).  True to the Volor family business, Pollixx casts a black leather middle finger just as well as the full band, this time at death itself.

Throughout the video, Pollixx teeters at the edge of the cliffs of insanity, with visual props aiding in the doomed nature of our existence in the form of car keys, a gun, a booze bottle and a large knife.  His shirt notably is even stained red, almost as if it’s meant to be a rebirth or a rebuke of death itself.  Life is but a moment, and this will not be our last!  In particular at the end of the video, Steven is seen waking up with the knife in his hand, before discarding it and grabbing his stage jacket.

“Life Is But A Moment” catches you in the moment and rhythm from opening guitar hook to the final cymbal crash, an undying anthem to the motto of “live free or die trying”.  It’s about living in the moment. True to the apocalypse that is 2020, we can die at any time, so make the most of it. The world will still turn, life will go on whether we do or not, so go out with a bang and a growl instead of a whimper.

Never apologize for party rockin’ – live each day as though it were your last and kick some ass with Pollixx!  \m/
