From the opening credits defining the word, we know “Vysteria” is about a metal band making a statement.

Night Demon is from California, established back in 2011. I’ve been a fan of this group since I saw them perform live at the Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse back in 2014. I’ve always thought they sounded like British metal from 1981 (Grim Reaper) transported to 2020.

Night Demon has been busy since I last saw them, the band has released two studio efforts: Curse Of The Damned (2015) & Darkness Remains (2017) and a live effort Live Darkness (2018). Now with Century Media Records, the group has unveiled a slew of 7” vinyl singles, the latest being “Vysteria” which became available back on July 3rd.

From the opening credits defining the word, we know “Vysteria” is about a metal band making a statement. Now you might be thinking, “I’m sick of musicians writing songs about the Coronavirus!” but I’d argue isn’t this exactly what metal is supposed to be about? If you want escapism in your metal, listen to Dio. This is about what’s happening today. A performance offering with the lyrics superimposed, you got to love how the word “Vysteria” oozes across your screen.

The world is coming down with “Vysteria” and it’s time we all took notice. Check out this new music video from Night Demon and control the hysteria boiling inside of you! \m/
