The clock in the video has visible damage both inside and out. It’s a delicate world which mirrors our own lifeline. If we don’t change our foolish ways, where are we headed?  To death of course!

Lamb Of God is a band that really needs no introduction. Defiling Christianity since 1994, originally as Burn The Priest, this metal act from Virginia has been kicking God’s ass for decades.

The influence of this band is truly immeasurable. Their success kept metal going at a time when it’s drive in the United States was at it’s lowest. Lamb Of God has released nine studio albums (two records were as Burn The Priest) with their latest effort, Lamb Of God, due to be unveiled on May 8th, 2020 via Nuclear Blast. A new music video for the song “Checkmate” has recently been released.

“Checkmate” is a performance video laced with some heavy political undertones. We ignore the inevitable as we pollute the world.

The reference to time running out does not go unnoticed. The time we have is wasted, the time keeper is fragile. A living thing made up of numerous gears working together. The clock in the video has visible damage both inside and out.

It’s a delicate world which mirrors our own lifeline. If we don’t change our foolish ways, where are we headed?  To death of course!

The ills of modern man are in full swing in Lamb Of God’s new vision “Checkmate”. Check out this new music video and don’t let the almighty rule you! \m/
