“I look at you and my blood boils hot, I feel my temperature rise.”
If you were consciously aware of metal music in 1984, chances are pretty damn good that you’re familiar with these lyrics from the band Kiss. Heavy rotation of this video on MTV helped deliver the band’s biggest hit single in years.
This song from the band’s 12th studio album Animalize persuaded innermost desires to adventure into naughty behaviors while definitely leaving its mark in a category of songs that put the X in sex. Mostly a performance video laced with shots of the band members gluttonous intentions, it helped to propel Animalize to become the biggest selling Kiss album since 1979 at that point in time. Heaven’s on Fire was the biggest hit from the album as well as the only song to survive on the band’s live setlist after the ’80s.
From the first guitar note to the last G string, it sets the stage for some crazy crazy nights. Grab a safety helmet, pack a lunch along with a fire extinguisher and crank up the volume as we revisit this scorching video from Kiss! \m/
