This music video is a feast for your demented brain. Chad Gray dressed like some kind of a villain you’d find in a Mad Max movie, struts his stuff on the open road.

Hellyeah began as a metal group comprised of superstars. The most prolific, has always been ex-Pantera co-founder and drummer Vinnie Paul.

Active since 2006, the band achieved immeasurable success until the unexpected happened, the loss of their famed drummer. Many, myself included, considered this the end of Hellyeah but their final chapter has yet to be written.

The latest record, Welcome Home, will be available on September 27th via Eleven Seven Music. A new video entitled “Oh My God” has been released to hype the effort.

This music video is a feast for your demented brain. Chad Gray dressed like some kind of a villain you’d find in a Mad Max movie, struts his stuff on the open road.

With desolate backdrops, clips of explosions and enough blood to satisfy any fan of eclectic style of the original Mudvayne, the visuals have a fierceness you can’t tear your eyes away from.

On a side note, I appreciated the fact that this video did not feature any shots of Stone Sour drummer, Roy Mayorga, who is now replacing Paul in the band. Shortly before his death, Vinnie laid down the drum tracks for Hellyeah’s sixth album at The Hideout recording studio in Las Vegas.

Vinnie Paul may be gone but his music will live on and as long as Hellyeah continues to perform live. His spirit will be with us all each and every time one of these classic tracks are played.

I urge you to check out this new video and support a group that knows how to celebrate the life of a legend. \m/
