If cannibalism offends you, be warned. These visuals are exactly as the title suggests a feast of human flesh.
The latest effort from Exmortus, The Sound of Steel, is due to hit the streets on June 8th via Prosthetic Records. This is the group’s 5th album and a highly anticipated follow up to Ride Forth (2016). The band is revamped and ready to continue its legacy of bloodshed.
A new video, “Feast Of Flesh”, has been released to fuel the fire. Part performance, part gore, this offering is not for the faint of heart. If cannibalism offends you, be warned. These visuals are exactly as the title suggests a feast of human flesh. The band sits at a table and gorges themselves on flesh of a beautiful woman. This vision is captured in the most disgusting ways possible, bloods splashes about as this visceral carnage becomes the forefront.
Musically, the ‘new guns’ Chase Becker and Carlos Cruz of Warbringer fame bring a different feel to the Exmortus act. The music is as tight as ever but the edge is more chaotic. I cannot wait to hear the rest of this album!
If you haven’t realized it by now, Jadran ‘Conan’ Gonzalez is becoming a star. One of the most promising artists in the last decade to pick up an axe. His mind boggling solos are what keeps me coming back. Whether it be Mozart or ‘Mary Had A Little Lamb’ this guy can play anything and make it sound cool. Speed and dexterity are only scratching the surface of the unbridled energy his guitar work brings to the Exmortus attack. The trade-offs with Chase Becker in this video are awesome but my favorite part is at the end when the band members complete their feast of flesh with a cold beer.
Exmortus is back with a bite! Check out “Feast of Flesh” and let this vengeful video onslaught devour you! \m/
