Living with unjust deeds, he finds himself chained by a self-imposed blindness. Urged to repent his abuses in front of the band!
Sometimes I wonder what would have happened to heavy metal if Metallica had been more like Destruction? Would the ‘90s have been different if a pinnacle thrash band never adopted an alternative style? Destruction has rarely strayed from their thrash roots, (The Least Successful Human Cannonball – 1998) and that has made them one of the most revered bands in the metal world.
An active moniker since 1982, Destruction is considered part of the “Big Four” (Kreator, Sodom and Tankard) of German thrash metal. The band has released their 15th studio record, Diabolical, which hit the streets today via Napalm Records. A new music video for the song “Repent Your Sins” has just been unveiled to promote the effort.
“Repent Your Sins” is full throttle assault on your senses. A performance offering with theatrics woven in, the message is made all too clear. Practice what you preach! Religion is a fallacy to those who hide behind the veil. The storyline follows a man of the cloth as he is forced to question his own faith. Living with unjust deeds, he finds himself chained by a self-imposed blindness. Urged to repent his abuses in front of the band!
I must admit I was worried about Destruction’s fate when I heard longtime guitarist and founder, Mike Sifringer, had left the group. “Repent Your Sins” has set my mind to rest. Destruction is back on track and ready to make you atone! Check out this new video and let the sinful vibes of Destruction stir up a repentance in you! \m/
