SepticFlesh are tour monsters, marketing geniuses, who understand how you’ve got to work to succeed.
Those who read my articles know I love SepticFlesh. I have supported the group fervently since 2010’s Communion and have attended live shows since 2012’s The Great Mass. Every time I see the band play live they are better than the time before. SepticFlesh’s music and imagery personifies beauty and horror like Cenobites out of a Hellraiser movie, angels to some, demons to others….
I spoke with Christos Antoniou last year when SepticFlesh played Reggies supporting the Titan album. It was over 100 degrees outside and Christos was nice enough to invite us inside his air-conditioned tour bus to do the interview, an excellent setting except for the fact that my camera didn’t have a light, so the video came out dark and was unusable. I had to transcript the interview and I’ve waited nearly a year to correct my mistake.
SepticFlesh are tour monsters, marketing geniuses, who understand how you’ve got to work to succeed. It’s no wonder why Chicago was packed to see this band play on a Monday night. Needless to say I was stoked to interview SepticFlesh again.
Please enjoy some excerpts of my interview with Christos Antoniou.
