Fronting a NWOBHM band that sounds like a cross between Judas Priest and Iron Maiden is one thing but sounding as electrifying as the legendary vocalists who front those bands is an exemplary achievement to say the very least.

In an age where pig squeals and blast beats are the norm Lady Beast offers something refreshingly different.

Active since 2009, this Pittsburg quintet is a metal juggernaut in the making. Following the path paved by the classic metal icons, Lady Beast offers a seamless union of heavy metal and thrash. Melodic passages and hefty rhythms set to heroic anthems create an atmospheric style unique to today’s metal scene. Vicious Breed is the groups second full length effort and it will be available November 17th via Cruz Del Sur Records.

In my mind, there are two kinds of vocalists: those who contribute to the music and those who enhance it. Lady Beast vocalist Deborah Levine is definitely the later. Fronting a NWOBHM band that sounds like a cross between Judas Priest and Iron Maiden is one thing but sounding as electrifying as the legendary vocalists who front those bands is an exemplary achievement to say the very least. Highlight tracks for me are: “Seal The Hex”, “Lone Hunter”, “Get Out”, “Every Giant Shall Fall” and “Vicious Breed”.

This new wave barbarism is highly addictive. Lady Beast has made me a believer. Check out this new effort and become a part of the vicious breed! \m/
