Biesy, roughly translated as ‘Fiends’ in Polish, is an extreme metal act you ought to know. Now is the time to get on board as Biesy will release their debut album, Noc Lekkich Obyczajów, this September via Third Eye Temple.
A side project started by members of the Polish black metal bands Odraza and Outre. This suffocating music was created to explore the monotonous realities of urban life. An attempt at understanding how the mundane can separate humanity from reality. A concept I can relate to and in fact, nearly every working class metal head ought to be able to draw from this material. I warn you, Biesy is not for the faint of heart. This music is atmospherically grueling and hateful in a way so primal, it taps the core of rational thought. If I ever were to mentally snap and go on a murderous killing spree, this would be the soundtrack to my demise! Highlight tracks for me are: “Każdego Dnia”,“W Krew”, “Czerń Nas Prosi” and the self-titled track “Noc Lekkich Obyczajów”.
Poland is at the cutting edge of black metal progression, a hotbed of reinterpretation. This new wave onslaught is redefining hostility. It’s amazing to consider the black metal nihilism birthed in the ‘90s could actually be upended by this new attack but I truly believe we are at the cusp of that revolution. Polish black metal is lusting for your blood and their voracious execution has only just begun! Check out this new offering by Biesy and join this band of fiends before they come for you! \m/
