Offering a new religion led by names suggesting a reincarnation of the famed warrior gods of old, one thing has been made abundantly clear, Warkings rocks!

I love a good gimmick nearly as much as I love heavy metal.

If you’re like me, you need to check out a group named Warkings. I stumbled upon this band through a video for the song “Sparta”. I’ve been infatuated ever since.

The Warkings origins are shrouded in mystery. An international outfit hailing from such places as Åsgård, Troms and Norway, the band is signed to Napalm Records. A debut effort entitled, Reborn, is set for release this November (16th) but nothing else is known about them.

Two music videos have been released to spread the hype “Gladiator” and “Sparta” featuring The Queen of the Damned, Melissa Bonny (Rage of Light). Although both efforts are great, my preference is “Sparta”. The addition of the despicable queen puts this video on a level all to its own. Like the famed vampire queen Akasha come to life. She participates in a thrash infused power metal attack. All bets are off in a world where both god and goddess clash with the flesh.

Warkings is a band on the rise. The time is now to join the ranks and make the crusade. Let this new wrath of metal become one with you! \m/

Warkings are:

The Tribune – Vocals

The Crusader – Guitars

The Viking – Bass

The Spartan – Drums
