The new video effort, “By The Numbers”, is a visual masterpiece portraying the numerical hierarchy that seemingly rules our world.

Metal Church has really pushed a button with this new video and I hope it doesn’t have a number! Check out these new visuals from the band’s highly anticipated offering, Damned If You Do, set to be released on December 7th 2018 via Rat Pak Records.

The new video effort, “By The Numbers”, is a visual masterpiece portraying the numerical hierarchy that seemingly rules our world. The numbers are everywhere, highlighting the numerically mundane lifestyle we lead. From the hours we sleep, to the hours we work, even the machines we utilize. The numbers we use have become our dreaded Matrix. A system that sucks our minds dry as we blindly follow daily routines.

What’s the cure for this dreaded disease? Heavy metal of course! The vile computations are combated with complex riffs and fists of rage. Business man, Mike Howe, only pretends to go to work. Texting his buddies (the rest of the band) a secret code (Rush – 2112). He invites them over to jam. I especially like the part when Mike Howe opens his briefcase and retrieves a microphone! What we thought was a lesson on the ills of society morphs into a performance offering.

Visually appealing and seriously thought provoking, this new offering knows just when to lighten the load. At the end of the video Mike Howe has a drink on his patio, perhaps reflecting on the duality of this life. He looks down and sees bassist Steve Unger finishing off a bottle of booze in his swimming pool!

Check out Metal Church’s “By The Numbers” and don’t let the digits rule you! \m/
