This music has the same aggressive in your face attitude but when I hear this group I think of Bad Brains, hip-hop punk with more bite than a loose crocodile on a chicken farm.

I’m new to the band Hyro The Hero and I’m a fan. A rapper residing in Los Angeles, Hyro has been making music since 2007. He started with mixed tapes and eventually moved on to full length releases fusing rap and metal. The end result is a surprising style which is explosively engaging for the listener.

Hyro’s latest album, Flagged Channel, hit the streets on June 29th via Red Music. A music video, “Bullet”, has been released to hype up the album. A performance offering with a lot of bad ass visuals, the dance moves of Hyro are definitely a sight to see.

The correlations to Rage Against The Machine are not unfounded. This music has the same aggressive in your face attitude but when I hear this group I think of Bad Brains, hip-hop punk with more bite than a loose crocodile on a chicken farm.

Music is always changing and it’s refreshing to see an artist like this blazing new paths. The relationship between rock and rap is constantly evolving. We’ve come a long way since Anthrax paired up with Public Enemy.  Hyro is riding new wave of style and the time to get on board is now. This is one bullet you definitely don’t want to dodge. Check out this new video and experience the cutting edge of rap and metal! \m/
